BOARDMAN — A woman said she was robbed at gunpoint outside her Glenwood Avenue home.

She told police she parked her car in the lot of her apartment complex around 10:40 p.m. Thursday and left her vehicle.

She said the lot is not well- lighted, but she saw a tall man dressed in dark clothes walk from behind a shed toward her vehicle.

He pointed a large, black handgun at her, placing it against her forehead as he demanded money, she said. When she told him she had none, he forced her to the ground, holding the gun against the back of her head, she said. She said he began going through her purse, then demanded a second time for her to give him money.

She took $70 from a compartment inside her purse and gave it to him. She said she was forced back to the ground, and the man fled on foot toward the north parking lot.

She told police she remained on the ground for several minutes until she was sure the man was gone, then she immediately got into her car, dialed 911 and drove to Shell North on Market Street to wait for police.

She said he was in his 20s, wearing a dark blue or black hooded sweat shirt, black ski mask, jeans, black gloves and dark shoes. She said he was between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall and 200 to 220 pounds. Police officers and a police dog tracked him to a parking lot about 50 yards from the scene but were unable to locate anyone.
