Efler-Hooks engagement is being announced

HOWLAND — The engagement of Angela Rose Efler and Dr. Bryan Phillip Hooks, both of Howland, is announced by her parents, James and Rosemary Pompoco of Howland. Parents of the future groom are Gerald and Cynthia Hooks of Economy, Pa.

The bride-to-be is a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. She graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

The prospective groom graduated from Westminster College and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He holds a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree and is an orthopedic surgery resident at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.

Invitations will be extended for the couple’s afternoon wedding and reception in May.
