ASSOCIATIONS
• The Gourmet Group of the Youngstown Branch of the American Association of University Women will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at O’Charley’s on South Avenue in Boardman. Ruth Harris will be the hostess. Call (330) 758-3926 for a reservation.

• McDonald Parents of Performing Arts will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the senior citizens room at the McDonald post office building.
• New Middletown Homemakers will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at C&C Mobile Court Clubhouse. Pizza will be served for lunch.
• Warren Women’s Connection will sponsor a “Calling All Bookworms” luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 13 at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. Featured will be Amy Neral from Borders Books in Boardman to tell what new books are available for spring. Bonnie Baughman from Barberton will sing. Linda Hull will share how she “Found Reality in an Unreal World.” The cost is $12 per person, all inclusive. • Youngstown Business and Professional Women’s Club will meet Tuesday for a program on “Create Your Vision for Success: 2009 is the Time.” The speaker will be Gina Pastella.
• Youngstown South Christian Women’s Club will have a “Forever Friends” luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. April 9 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. Featured will be Vivian Young from The Wrist Connection, music by Rita Busin, and the guest speaker, Judy Conti Katsaras, dance studio owner. • Youngstown Women’s Connection has scheduled a “Parade of Hats” luncheon for noon April 14 at Lucianno’s Banquet Room, 1739 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown. Those with hats can join the parade. Music will be by Raette George, and Debbie Mills will speak on “Searching for Happiness and Finding Joy.” The cost is $10. GRANGES
• Dublin Grange will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Zella Baker will preside. There will be a baking contest for all ages. Members are asked to take two cans of food or $1 for benefit bingo for the Rescue Mission.
GUILDS
• The Youngstown Chapter of the Embroiderer’s Guild of America will meet Tuesday at the I.O.O.F. Hall in Canfield. The morning meeting will begin at 10 a.m. and the evening meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. Sally Svoboda will preside. The featured project will be a Hardanger project by Judy Powers. • Canfield Republican Women’s Club will meet for a social at 6 p.m. April 1 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield, where dinner will be served at 6:30.
