Area Agency on Aging moving its offices from Youngstown to Eastwood Mall

NILES — The Area Agency on Aging District 11 will leave downtown Youngstown and move its headquarters to the Eastwood Mall.

In a press release today, Donald Medd, agency chief executive officer, said the lease agreement with mall management calls for a complete renovation of the facility in accordance with the agency’s specifications.

The space the agency will get previously was occupied by National Security Consultants, a portion of the former Kahunaville restaurant, and various second-floor offices.

Medd said the move will mean a substantial cost savings for the agency in excess of the $300,000 over the period of the lease.

Area Agency on Aging is a nonprofit corporation serving nearly 145,000 older adults in Ashtabula, Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
