Meet Grow Youngstown

What: Informative event with food from local restaurants, an auction, and viewing of the film “The Power of Community: How Cuba Survived Peak Oil.”

When: 6 p.m. Friday, March 20

Where: Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave., Youngstown.

TICKETS: $10

Introduction To Practical Garden Design

What: Weekend workshop teaching practical design methods for gardens, principles of ecological design, urban sustainability and more.

When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Where: Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave.

Info: Workshop cost for both days is $70 a person, $60 each for two people and $50 each for three or more.
