Bowl for Kids’ Sake will help in a Big way

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lawrence County will have its fifteenth annual “Bowl for Kids’ Sake” event from noon to 5 p.m. April 4 at Colonial Bowling Lanes.

The event raises nearly 30 percent of the organization’s annual budget and is the highlight event of the year. All money raised helps provide mentors for at-risk youths in Lawrence County.

Teams of four to six people, each of whom raise $40 in sponsorship money, sign up for a specific bowling time or have the option to stay for the entire day. Each participant will receive a T-shirt, one free game of bowling, lunch and entertainment. This year’s theme is “Bowling Back to the ’50s.”

Local businesses sponsor the event with monetary donations, and some give Chinese auction donations.

Those interested in sponsoring the event, donating items to the Chinese auction, or forming a team for “Bowl for Kids’ Sake” should contact Suzanne Mrozek at (724) 657-3680.
