Saturday will mark Croatian Pride Day

YOUNGSTOWN — Croatian Pride Day will take place beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday at the St. George Croatian Center/Croatian Home at 3200 Vestal Road.

Admission is $2, and the event will be patterned after the typical open market and outdoor cafes found throughout Croatia. Vendors will offer for sale a wide variety of Croatian food products, handmade items, music CDs and general information about the local Croatian community.

Food from the kitchen, as well as a bake sale, will be available, featuring goulash, cevapcici, kolbasi, schnitzel, strudel, kolachi, and Croatian potato salad and coleslaw.

Croatian music will be provided from 4-8 p.m. by the Vatra Tamburitza of Pittsburgh.
