A summary of police activity in Austintown Township:

AUSTINTOWN

March 9

Drug offense: Police arrested an Austintown woman for possession of suspected marijuana at Burkey Road and Forest Hill Drive.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made on a MasterCard account at a home in the 100 block of North Turner Road. The victim reported he received a laptop computer at his home that he never ordered and his account was charged $706.99.

Burglary: Two motorcycles were stolen from an attached garage at a home in the 5000 block of London Drive.

Criminal damaging: A tire was cut in the driveway of a home in the 5000 block of Baylor Drive.

Bad check: A truck was purchased by a male customer at Key Auto Broker, 5317 Mahoning Ave. with a check for more than $10,000 that came back for insufficient funds.

Theft: A woman reported she had given a suspect $288 to pay her half of the rent on an apartment in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road and the suspect never paid the rent. She told police she has not been able to contact the man.

Theft: A laptop and USB modem were stolen at Radio Shack, 5880 Mahoning Ave., by a two men and a woman who came into the store.

Theft: A woman was arrested for stealing seven items worth $37.92 in goods at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

March 10

Auto theft: A 1993 white Cadillac Sedan DeVille was taken with the keys at Westchester Apartments, 4843 Westchester Drive.

Theft: Power tools were stolen from a van at Everclear, 3700 Oakwood Ave.

Theft: A $500 down payment for materials for signs was made but the work was never done at Red Hots Hot Dogs, 4777 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: Two small safes and an Xbox console were stolen at a home in the 4000 block of Stark Drive.

Theft: A 15-year-old male juvenile was caught stealing at Kmart and was released to his sister’s custody.

March 11

Aggravated menacing: A man is accused of menacing at a home in the 4000 block of East Webb Road.

Assault: A woman is accused of assault at a home in the 500 block of North Four Mile Run Road.

Breaking and entering: A chain was cut to the main gate and a stereo was stolen from a vehicle at American Auto Sales, 89 Maple Drive.

Theft: A total of $525 in unauthorized charges were made to MasterCard of a person a home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.

Attempted theft: A window was smashed out and the dashboard damaged on a vehicle at IT&T Technical Institute, 1030 N. Meridian Road.

Fraud: A total of $82.99 was fraudulently charged on a credit account for a homeowner in the 4000 block of Crabwood Drive.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to a Niles woman for possession of drug paraphernalia, a suspected glass marijuana pipe, at Mahoning Avenue and state Route 11.

March 12

Theft: A Sirius radio was stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 4000 block of East Radio Road.

Theft: A man is a suspect in a theft at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: DVD movies were stolen from an apartment in the 60 block of North Raccoon Road.

Assault: A woman went to a man’s house and became loud, and he asked her to quiet down. She left, slamming the door behind her and he followed, and she then hit him in the face with her purse, cutting his face in the 6000 block of Kirk Road.

Theft: A woman was arrested for stealing $146 worth of items at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Counterfeit currency: A total of $200 believed to be counterfeit was passed at Golden Food Mart, 4290 New Road.

Aggravated menacing: A female victim was threatened by another woman at an apartment in the 50 block of Westminster Avenue.

Criminal damaging: A victim’s car window was broken out at a home in the 3000 block of Edinburgh Drive.

Burglary: A house was broken into and a television, safe, and silver dollars were stolen.

March 13

Counterfeit currency: Three counterfeit $20 bills were passed at Wal-Mart.

Telephone harassment: A man is a suspect in making harassing calls to a home in the 6000 block of Kirk Road.

Attempted burglary: Thieves tried to get into the main door to a trailer but no entry was gained at home in the 10 block of Penny Lane.

Theft: A Haskell .45-caliber handgun was stolen from a home in the 600 block of Cedarwood Drive.

Assault: Three female juvenile students were involved in an assault at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.

March 14

Disorderly conduct: A man was issued a summons for disorderly conduct in the 5500 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Lost or stolen property: A wallet and credit cards were reported missing at Giant Eagle.

Theft: Ten cords of firewood were stolen from a vacant lot across from a home in the 5000 block of Norquest Boulevard.

Theft: A man stole a video MP-3 player worth $100 at Walgreen’s, 40 N. Meridian Road.

Attempted burglary: An apartment door was damaged in the 1000 block of Fountain Square Apartments.

March 15

Theft: An unknown number of tools was taken from an auto at Roth Brothers, 3847 Crum Road.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to a Youngstown man for possession of suspected marijuana in the 3700 block of Oakwood Avenue.

Theft: Two bicycles were stolen from the rear yard of a home in the 90 block of Kenmar Court.

Criminal damaging: A mailbox was damaged at a home in the 5000 block of Lou Ida Boulevard.

Menacing: A woman left a threatening voice mail at a home in the 1000 block of Woodhurst Boulevard.

Menacing: A man threatened the victim over a road construction dispute at a home in the 3000 block of New Road.
