Hubbard police looking for man, woman involved in robbery
HUBBARD — City police are still looking for a man and woman believed to have robbed a Hubbard woman who once viewed them as friends.
According to police reports, a 30-year-old Wendemere Drive woman called the couple for a ride to the 717 Credit Union to cash a $1,600 check and then take her to a nearby convenience store Friday afternoon. After returning from the store, the man punched the woman in her face several times and took the purse containing the money.
Police observed a swollen right eye and bruising on the Wendemere Drive woman.
The victim told police she at one time was the baby sitter for the female, who is believed to be 17. The woman also told police that the man and woman live in Youngstown.
