King anniversary is celebrated at family dinner

LORDSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Daniel E. King, 501 Salt Springs Road, were honored for their 65th wedding anniversary during a family dinner party at 2:30 p.m. March 8 at Ciminero’s Banquet Center in Niles.
Hosts for the celebration were their children, Martha J. Knapp of Berlin Center; Jacquelynne Salman of Alexandria; Daniel E. King Jr. and Robert J. King, both of Lake Milton; William D. King and Timothy O. King, both of Lordstown; and David E. King of Freeland, Mich.
Completing their family are 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The couple were united in marriage on March 12, 1944, at Eagle Pass Air Base in Texas. They attend Lordstown Christian Church.
Mrs. King, a homemaker, is a member of the Pythian Sisters and Miriam Chapter, OES.
Mr. King served with the 8th Air Force, 364th Fighter Group, and retired in 1978 from U.S. Steel in Youngstown, where he was a general foreman. He is a member of Allen Lodge, F&AM, Ancient Scottish Rite; the Disabled American Veterans; the Mahoning Valley Chapter of the American Ex-Prisoners of War Organization; and the 364th Fighter Group Association.
