FIRST PLACE: John Umble, 14, grand champion of the 76th annual Vindicator Regional Spelling Bee, correctly spelled “fluorescent” to claim victory. The eighth-grader at Willow Creek Learning Center went head-to-head for 10 rounds with Andrew Rossi, 12, a seventh grader representing Holy Family School.
