Baals are honored at reception on 60th anniversary

YOUNGSTOWN — An afternoon reception, which took place on Feb. 15 at Tippecanoe Country Club, Canfield, honored Mr. and Mrs. John Baal, 3332 Glen Oaks Drive, as they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Invitations for the event were extended by their family, Philip and Barb Carlon of Boardman and John and Debbie Baal of Greenfield. The couple have six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

St. Joseph Church was the setting as Mr. Baal and the former Theresa Pascarella were united in marriage on Feb. 18, 1949. They are members of Immaculate Conception Church.

Mr. Baal served with the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946. He retired in 1985 from Republic Rubber, where he was employed in property maintenance.

Mrs. Baal is a homemaker and a Eucharistic minister.
