GARDEN CLUBS | This week's meetings announced

MONDAY

• Garden Gate will meet at 7 p.m. for a program on decorative birdhouses. Geri Tarka, hostess, will be assisted by Joann Vlacancich, co-hostess.

TUESDAY•

• East will meet at 11:30 a.m. at Elmton Restaurant in Struthers. Joann Ellis will speak on “Shoes.” The hostesses will be Kitty Metasy.

• Trailwood will have a brown bag lunch at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Gary Smith will speak on “Flowers of the Bible.” Mary Jane Becherer will be the hostess, and Linda DeLost and Mary Lou Volchko with be co-hostesses.

WEDNESDAY

• St. Michael Garden Guild will meet at 7 p.m. in the parish center with Marge Yerman presiding. A program on bees will be presented by John Beilhart. Hostesses will be Cookie Beeman and Sharon Mangapora. Guests are welcome.

THURSDAY

• Coitsville will meet at 6 p.m. for a program on “Tea” by Sue Lambert. Linda Sarver will serve as hostess.

• Johnny Appleseed will meet at 7:30 p.m. Jeanne Filmer is in charge of the program on story telling by Regina Rees. Karen Hahn will be the hostess and Dee Zurawick will be the co-hostess. The door prize will be by Karen Hahn.

• Garden club events are published Sunday. The deadline is noon Thursday.
