YOUNGSTOWN — A local man has been arrested in the murder investigation of a 29-year-old West Judson Avenue man.

According to Det. Sgt. John Kelty, Det. Pat Kelly arrested Daniel Ortello Jr., 20, who is listed under several addresses, early Friday. Ortello is being held in Mahoning County Jail and will be arraigned Monday in Youngstown Municipal Court.

A warrant was issued for Ortello’s arrest earlier this week, but when officers tried to serve the warrant, it was determined that Ortello was in a psychiatric unit at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Officers ultimately took Ortello into custody at the hospital.

According to reports, officers were called to an East Side address Sunday to investigate a man down in the street. When police arrived at 234 Lansdowne Blvd. just before 6:30 a.m., they found Seetreon A. Dothard lying face down on the street in front of the house at that address.

Seetreon, who lived on West Judson Avenue, was dead at the scene of an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

The resident of the home where Seetreon was found said he heard a gunshot around 5:30 a.m. but didn’t see anything.

Police said they found a loaded 9mm pistol in the waistband of Seetreon’s pants.
