MAKING THE CUT: Cub Scout Pack 100 celebrated the anniversary of Scouting at its annual Blue and Gold Banquet on Feb. 22 at The Gallery in Hubbard. Shown cutting the cake during the celebration is Rich “Cookie” Cook Sr., who was recognized for his dedication as Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 55 in Youngstown since 1979. Also honored were Richard Cook Jr., leader of Den 6, and Robert Dixon, assistant leader, for the past 5 years. Four members of Cub Scout Pack 100, Austin Cook, Robbie Dixon, Hunter Herzberger and Chris Jones, who earned their Arrow of Light Awards, were presented hiking staffs in a ceremony performed by Chief Akela (Bill Moss) as they were welcomed into Boy Scout Troop 55.
