The Mobile Store to open in Hubbard

HUBBARD — The Hubbard Area Chamber of Commerce will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Thursday for The Mobile Store located at 340 North Main St. Refreshments will be served.

Famous Footwear opens in Boardman

BOARDMAN — Brown Shoe Co. has opened a Famous Footwear store in The Shoppes at Boardman Park. It is one of 39 Famous Footwear stores being opened by the St. Louis-based company.

A grand-opening event will be from noon to 6 p.m. today. Every hour, the store will give away a 30-second shopping spree. The winner will have 30 seconds to grab as many pairs of shoes as possible, and one of the seven lucky customers will win a two-minute shopping spree.

The store is managed by Johnna Winters and employs about seven people.
