BOARDMAN — After more than 20 years, Boardman Rotary is changing its recipe for a successful pancake breakfast.
This year, due to the construction taking place in Boardman Township Park, the event will be at Boardman High School, Glenwood Avenue, and it will be for only one weekend.
Tickets may be purchased from any Boardman Rotarian or at the door the day of the event. The schedule calls for the club to serve breakfast from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 28 and 29.
This will mark the second time the club will host a pancake-eating contest with the annual breakfast. The contest will be from 3 to 4 p.m. March 28.
The contest is open to everyone, featuring prizes for both winning individuals and teams of three or fewer.
Interested individuals or groups should contact Boardman Rotarian Jim Hammond at (330) 506-2896. The entry fee of $5 per person or $10 per team covers all the pancakes the team can eat.
Those attending the breakfast are asked to use the Boardman High School Performing Arts Center entrance (Door 8) for easy access to the event. Participants for the pancake-eating contest will use the same entrance.
The cost for breakfast is $6 and includes the traditional all-you-can-eat pancake meal, which is dished up with a single serving of sausage, syrup and beverages for children and adults.
