4 charged after attempted robbery

BOARDMAN — Two men and two juveniles were arrested Friday after an attempted robbery was reported at an East Western Reserve Road fast-food restaurant.
Tyree Freeman, 20, of Erie Street, Dandre Robinson, 19, of East Avondale, both of Youngstown, and a 16-year-old Wilber Street, Youngstown, boy, are charged with aggravated robbery, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest and obstructing, all felonies.
Freeman and Robinson were housed in the Mahoning County jail, and the teen was taken to the juvenile justice center.
About 5 a.m., employees of McDonald’s reported two men trying to get into the business through a back door. The employees held the door, and the men fled north on South Avenue in a maroon car.
A police officer traveling south on South spotted a maroon car headed north with no lights on. The officer followed the car onto Bev Road and then to McClurg Road, where four males bailed out and ran.
Police arrested three of them nearby early Friday and found bandannas and a gun along their route. A second gun was found later in the afternoon.
The fourth person turned himself in Friday afternoon at the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center. The boy, 16, of Auburndale Avenue, Youngstown, is charged with aggravated robbery, receiving stolen property and obstructing official business.
The car had been reported stolen out of Youngstown. A van that was registered to the mother of one of the accused was found on Bev Road.
