Warren man indicted in shooting deaths
Michael Ahladis faces a long prison term if convicted on all charges.

WARREN — A man who survived a Dec. 23 shooting that resulted in two deaths at a Howland condominium complex has been indicted on charges of complicity to murder and complicity to aggravated burglary.
Michael Ahladis, 23, of Jefferson Street Southwest, pleaded innocent Thursday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.
Howland Police Chief Paul Monroe has said that Ahladis and others might face additional charges once the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation turned over results of evidence found at the crime scene.
Monroe was not available Thursday to say whether the lab results were the reason Ahladis was indicted on additional charges.
Ahladis was charged earlier with complicity to aggravated burglary and obstruction of justice in connection with the Dec. 23 shooting death of Cameron Murray, 21, at Murray’s North Sandpiper Court condominium.
Delshawn R. Scrivens, 25, of Wood Street Southwest, Warren, also died as a result of gunshot wounds he suffered at the apartment, Monroe had said.
If convicted of complicity to murder with a gun specification, Ahladis faces 18 years to life in prison. If convicted of the three other charges, Ahladis could get up to 25 more years in prison.
Murray was found dead by a construction worker in the doorway of his condominium. Police say Murray had been shot there about 4 p.m.
Monroe has refused to discuss what role Ahladis may have played in the death or what other people were involved. He acknowledged that Scrivens was involved only after Scrivens died at a local hospital in February from injuries he received from his gunshot wounds.
