TRUMBULL CONCERN: Piles of steel swarf are shown at the rear of the Diversified Resources International plant on Refractory Drive in Champion Township. Some of the material, visible from the state Route 5 outerbelt, is held in place by concrete bunkers. Trumbull County officials say the powdery type of steel shavings mixed with oil can catch fire or leach into groundwater.
