Mahoning River group to have meeting Monday

YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning River Corridor Initiative will have its first meeting at 10 a.m. Monday at the D.D. Davis center in Mill Creek Park. The meeting will address the organizational structure, goals and objectives and future activities.

For the past several months, the Mahoning River Corridor of Opportunity Planning Committee, Mahoning River Consortium and the Center for Urban and Regional Studies at Youngstown State University have been working with various governmental and community organizations to consolidate and expand efforts to revitalize the river corridor.

Cafaro Co. to begin Seattle mall renovation

PUYALLUP, Wash. — Cafaro Co. will have a ground breaking ceremony Thursday in Puyallup, Wash., for renovations to its South Hill Mall there. KING-TV in Seattle said the Youngstown-based company plans a multi million-dollar renovation that includes a new interior and exterior.

Much of the focus will be on energy-saving technology both inside and outside. The project is expected to take nine months.

PALO Creative gets contract with rental chain

BOARDMAN — PALO Creative of Boardman has been named agency of record for Youngstown-based Eagle Rental Purchase. PALO will be responsible for developing corporate communication initiatives. Eagle Rental Purchase is a rent-to-own retail chain with stores in Boardman and Warrensville.
