Herb growers to meet

CANFIELD — Holborn Herb Growers Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Colonial Inn on the Canfield Fairgrounds. A program on “How to Prepare Soil for Spring Planting” will be presented by David Goerig. Hostesses will be Sharyl Marcy, Joyce Rettenmier, Joe Greasel and Debbie Cormell.

President Peggy Mills has named the following as committee chairwomen for 2009: Kathy Mecak, education; Bunny Pavlov and Diane Playforth, historian; Sue Kasmer and Carrie Bookwalter, master gardener program; Marge French, membership; Jo-Ann Kaschak, publicity; Claudia DiRienzo, sunshine; Virginia Bartos, wholesale purchases; and Marge Williams, apron and tags.
