Woman pleads guilty to sex crimes

WARREN — An 18-year-old woman charged with rape after she had sex with boys age 11 and 14 in July 2008 has pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges of gross sexual imposition.

Shawna A. Conn, whose most recent address was on Charles Avenue in Warren but who is originally from McDonald, made the plea in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

She will be sentenced on the charges in four to six weeks by Judge Peter Kontos after the Trumbull County Adult Probation Department conducts a pre-sentence investigation.

Warren police said Conn was baby-sitting four children at a house on Logan Street Southeast, where the mothers of the two boys restrained Conn after learning of the allegations.

The two boys were not being baby sat at the time of the offenses but were known to the residents of the home, police said.

Conn could get up to up to 60 days in jail on each offense, authorities said.
