Workshop on obesity scheduled at mall

NILES — The Family and Children First Council will present a workshop, “Obesity in Children and Teens,” at St. Joe’s at the Mall (near Sears in Eastwood Mall) from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 19. Children may accompany their parents.

The first half of the program will be about prevalence and reasons for obesity, health consequences of obesity, and four ways to avoid obesity.

The second half of the program will feature demonstrations of activities with young children.

Refreshments and door prizes will be available.
