BOARDMAN

March 5

Arrest: Police received a report of someone breaking vehicles’ windows on Wolosyn Circle and charged a Boardman man, 33, with two counts each of theft and criminal damaging and one count each of attempted theft and possession of criminal tools. Police saw the man carrying items from the area of the two cars, and he had a box cutter, screwdriver and crowbar, a report said.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s driver’s-side vent window was broken in the 4300 block of Chester Drive.

Misuse of a credit card: Officers charged a 20-year-old Struthers woman, saying she admitted having used a Poland man’s credit card to make two unauthorized purchases totaling $27.49 at a Market Street eatery.

Theft/damage: Someone threw a rock and broke a vehicle’s window before stealing a woman’s purse at a Tiffany Boulevard business.

Theft/criminal damaging: Two vehicles in the 2000 block of Wolosyn Circle were broken into. Stolen were compact discs and an AM/FM/CD stereo.

Assault: A Canfield man reported having been punched in the left cheek and injured while at the Southern Park Mall.

Misuse of a credit card: A Pearson Circle woman discovered $56 worth of unauthorized charges had been made to her card.

Domestic violence: A charge was pending against a 48-year-old Glenwood Avenue woman accused of punching her husband in the mouth, causing a bloody lip, and biting his right hand during an argument before leaving the residence.

Assault: An employee with a Doral Drive store suffered several scratches in an assault at work.

Criminal damaging: Someone used a BB gun to shoot a vehicle’s passenger-side window in the 200 block of Charles Avenue.

Arrest: Authorities picked up a 20-year-old man at his Southern Boulevard home on a warrant charging him with failure to appear for a pre- trial hearing. He also was wanted by Weathersfield Township police on one count each of theft and larceny.

March 6

Arrest: Authorities responded to a woman who refused to leave her boyfriend’s Bonnie Place apartment and charged the 25-year-old Youngstown female with obstructing official business. The intoxicated woman failed to comply with police partly by refusing to identify herself, a report showed.

Theft: Two Youngstown women, 19 and 20, were charged in the theft of $94 worth of jewelry and cosmetics from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Theft: Police responded to a report of possible employee theft at Wendy’s, 8541 South Ave.

Theft: An Indianola Road man found out his debit card had been stolen and used at an East Midlothian Boulevard gas station.

Misuse of a credit card: A Green Garden Drive woman told police she gave her debit card to a man who was to return an item, but that he used it to make five unauthorized automated-teller-machine withdrawals totaling $260.

Domestic violence: An 18-year-old Columbus, Ga., man was charged after a Lemans Drive woman alleged he pushed her in the face and choked her.

Theft: An $8 item was stolen from Dots, 339 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Forgery: A Youngstown man learned that someone had forged his name on a retail sales contract regarding a car purchase from a Market Street dealership.

Theft: An expiration sticker was removed from a vehicle’s license plate in the 800 block of Mayfield Drive.

Theft: A female employee with Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road, faced a felony charge, accused of processing customers’ receipts, then refunding the amounts to herself.

Theft: A 42-year-old Youngstown woman was accused in the theft of baby clothing from Big Lots, 7110 South Ave.

Possible identity theft: A Rush Boulevard woman found an unauthorized transaction while reviewing her credit report.

March 7

Menacing: An employee of a Doral Drive store told police a co-worker had threatened him.

Criminal damaging: Someone tossed eggs and struck the roof and front portion of a residence in the 6900 block of Glendale Avenue.

Theft: A Youngstown woman, 23, was accused of stealing 13 cosmetics and baby items from Wal-Mart, and charged.

Theft: A $52 bottle of cologne was taken from Sears in the Southern Park Mall, resulting in a 23-year-old Youngstown man’s being charged.

March 8

Theft: A 30-year-old Salem woman was charged in the theft of seven baby items from Wal-Mart.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle had two broken windows in the 500 block of Afton Avenue. Total damage came to $250.

Criminal damaging: A car in the 1400 block of Turnberry Drive sustained $300 worth of damage when a rear window was broken.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s windshield was damaged in the 8400 block of Stoney Creek Drive.

Assault: An Austintown man told officers a friend he was visiting on U.S. Route 224 punched him in the face during an argument, resulting in a minor injury.

March 4

Burglary: An elderly Manor Avenue man discovered someone had entered his home via the front door before taking money and a passbook.

March 5

Identity theft: A Poland-Struthers Road resident filed a report saying he lost about $2,860.

March 6

Criminal damaging: To a lawn in the 6900 block of New Castle Road.
