KENT — Al Fisher scored 18 points and went 6-of-7 from the foul line to lead Kent State. The Flashes (18-13, 10-6 Mid-American Conference) fell behind by as many as 10 points in the first half and bounced back from a four-point halftime deficit to reclaim the lead midway through the second period. Brett McKnight led Akron (19-12, 10-6) with 14 points. Anthony Hitchens had 13, including two foul shots that kept the game close near the end.
Bowling Green 75, Ohio 41
BOWLING GREEN — Darryl Clements scored 15 points and Nate Miller had 14 points and 11 rebounds as Bowling Green clinched a share of the MAC’s Eastern Division championship. Bowling Green (18-12, 11-5) earned the top seed for the MAC tournament. Otis Polk scored 14 points and Joe Jakubowski added 10 for Bowling Green.Justin Orr and Steven Coleman both had 10 for Ohio.
Buffalo 70, Miami (Ohio) 67, OT
AMHERST, N.Y. — Andy Robinson scored 16 points, including six in overtime, to lead Buffalo. Michael Bramos hit a 3-pointer with 12 seconds left to bring Miami (18-11, 10-6 MAC) within 68-67 with 12 seconds left but his jumper for the win with 2.9 seconds left fell short. Mitchell Watt had 14 points and Calvin Betts and Greg Gamble each added 13 for Buffalo (19-10, 11-5). Bramos scored a game-high 19 points with 10 rebounds for the RedHawks.
Toledo 74, N. Illinois 69
TOLEDO — Jonathan Amos scored 19 points and Tyrone Kent’s dunk and two free throws in the final seconds secured Toledo’s (7-24, 5-11) win. Northern Illinois (10-19, 5-11) was led by Michael Patton and Michael Fakuade with 15 points each.
