City man found dead

YOUNGSTOWN — A city man was found dead with a gunshot wound to the back of the head.

When police arrived at 234 Lansdowne Blvd. just before 6:30 a.m. Sunday, they found Dothard Seetreon, 29, of Youngstown, lying face down on the street in front of the house.

Seetreon, who lived on West Judson Avenue, was dead at the scene of an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

The resident of the home where the victim was found said he heard a gunshot around 5:30 a.m. Sunday but didn’t see anything.

Police said they found a loaded 9mm pistol in the waistband of Seetreon’s pants.

No suspects have been identified, and the case is under investigation by city police.

Motorcyclist injured

AUSTINTOWN — A man was taken to the hospital after his motorcycle collided with a car.

The Canfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said that just after 6 p.m. Saturday, three motorcyclists riding south in the right lane on state Route 46 tried to avoid a 2001 silver Pontiac Grand Am that attempted to make a right turn from the left lane into the BP gas station.

The car, driven by Yvonne Andrews, 55, of Lake Milton, collided with the motorcycle driven by Robert Scarmack, 29, of Farrell, Pa. The other two motorcyclists braked, causing the bikes to tip over.

“She cut off the first motorcycle, and the second and third laid down behind it,” dispatcher Shannon Owens said.

Scarmack was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Health Center for several lacerations, neck and back pain.

None of the other motorcyclists, including a passenger, 22-year-old Stacy McCready, of Farrell, Pa., was injured. Andrews also was unscathed.

The accident is still under investigation by the state patrol, and no charges have been filed against Andrews.

No report on Scarmack’s condition was available.
