Warren Harding’s Williams scores 23 points in 68-54 win

WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS — Fred Williams scored 23 points Saturday to lead the Warren Harding High boys basketball team to a 68-54 victory over Cleveland John Adams.

Angel Gonzalez scored 17 points and Desmar Jackson 16 to lead Harding (19-2) in the Division I sectional tournament final at Warrensville Heights High gym.

The Raiders advanced to a district semifinal game Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Harding outscored Adams in the second quarter (19-12) and third quarter (18-10) to take control in the game.

Rashawn Allen scored 18 points and Deon Smith 15, including four 3-point goals, to spark Cleveland John Adams.
