STRUTHERS — The exchange of nuptial vows took place at 2 p.m. Aug. 9 in the presence of the Rev. Bob Bonnot as Lisa Kalbasky and Andrew Saxon were united in marriage at St. Nicholas Church.
The daughter of Gary and JoAnne Kalbasky and the son of the late Joseph and Phyllis Saxon were honored during a reception at The Embassy in Youngstown before leaving for a honeymoon to Riviera Maya, Mexico. Since returning, they live in Girard.
The bride wore a white satin gown enhanced with a pickup skirt.
Clover gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Lisa Koniowsky, and the bridesmaids, Jenn DeBrosse, Nicole Powell, Kristin Fox, Jenn Gavalier, Stacy Smith, Alaina Sternburg, and Anissa Kalbasky. Flower girl was Angelina Powell.
Best man was Robin Jamieson, and groomsmen were John Saxon, Gary Kalbasky, Mike DelBene, Mike O’Neil, Mike Frankford, Brad Root, Jimmy Damico, Paul DeMas, and Peter Quattrochhi. Ring bearer was Dominic Kalbasky.
The bride is a fifth-grade teacher, head softball coach, and basketball coach with LaBrae Local Schools. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Thiel College and a master’s in education from Marygrove College.
The groom graduated from Youngstown State University and earned a master’s in curriculum from Ashland University. He is a seventh-grade teacher and head girls basketball coach with Girard City Schools, and softball coach at LaBrae High School.
