CHICAGO — Kourtney McKay and Nathaniel Ross, both of Chicago, honeymooned in San Francisco and the Napa Valley, Calif., after their wedding on Jan. 31 at Olde St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
The Rev. Thomas Hurley officiated at the 3 p.m. double-ring ceremony for the daughter of David and Carol McKay of Boardman and the son of Thomas and Roberta Ross of Barrington, Ill. A reception followed that evening at the Garfield Conservatory.
The bride’s white satin gown featured a fitted dropped bodice and fluted A-line skirt with crystal buttons on the chapel train.
Wearing indigo blue dresses were the honor attendant, Kimberly Smith, and the bridesmaids, Heidi Kazzmarek, Whitney Carter and Grace Rainwater. Flower girls Lily Grdic and Luna Hasteur wore ivory dresses.
Gwydion Hasteur was best man, and groomsmen were Andrew Kadlec, Frank Piersanti and Carl Schulz. Ian Smith was ring bearer.
Others who participated were Mark Giamalvo, Amy Pawling, Nora Ross, Emma Ross and Jack Solak.
The bride is a cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in art and graphic design. She is art director of Associated Publications and Complete Woman magazine.
The groom graduated from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., and from the International Academy of Design in Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in design. He is the owner of Matter and Order Design.
