Chismars renew marriage vows on 25th anniversary of their wedding

BOARDMAN — Mr. and Mrs. Jim Chismar of Boardman celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on March 1 by attending Mass at St. Joseph the Provider Church in Campbell, where they renewed their nuptial vows in the presence of the Rev. Michael Swierz.

Among those attending the ceremony were their children, Jessica and James Jr., and relatives and friends.

The couple were honored at a surprise champagne brunch given in their honor in the church hall after the ceremony.

The former Mary Ellen Sympson and Mr. Chismar were united in marriage on March 3, 1984, at St. Dominic Church in Youngstown. Mrs. Chismar is self employed, and Mr. Chismar is employed by Boardman Township.
