Miss Vimmerstedt to wed Mr. Balale in May ceremony

BOARDMAN — Carl and Rosemarie Vimmerstedt of Boardman are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Cristin Vimmerstedt, of the same address, and Michael J. Balale of Exton, Pa., a son of John and Kathy Balale of Campbell.

The bride-elect graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in music education and earned a master’s of music in piano performance from the University of Miami in Florida. She is a self-employed piano teacher.

The prospective groom, a store manager with J.C. Penney in Exton, graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.

The couple will exchange nuptial vows during an open ceremony they have planned for 1:30 p.m. May 30 at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Campbell. Their evening reception will be by invitation at Mr. Anthony’s.
