JFK tops Bloomfield for sectional title

WARREN — Boo Timko and Nick Brown combined for 39 points as Warren JFK jumped out to an early lead and coasted past Bloomfield 77-51 to win a Division IV sectional tournament championship here at Harding High School.

Timko pace the Eagles (14-7) with 20 points and Brown added 10, while Bloomfield (7-15) was led by Aaron Knight’s 24 points.

JFK will move into district play on Tuesday

Kennedy Catholic 40, Keystone 30

SHARON, Pa. — Kyle Randall scored 16 points, as Kennedy Catholic rolled past Keystone in the opening round of the PIAA Class A boys basketball tournament Friday.

Kennedy (23-2) of District 10 will advance to meet the winner of District 7 on Tuesday at a time and site to be announced this weekend.
