Library cafes will open next week

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR

YOUNGSTOWN — Chapters cafes in the Poland and Austintown libraries, originally scheduled to open Saturday, will instead open March 12.

The cafes will be operated by TBC Coffee Co., owned by Joyce and Pete Kohler of Poland.

The couple most recently ran a coffeehouse located on Clingan Road in Poland.

Carlton A. Sears, director of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County, said, “We are happy to be able to announce that our Poland and Austintown cafes will soon be up and running. Our cafes have been popular with our patrons. The library is pleased to welcome TBC to its Chapters cafes at these locations. We’re sure that our patrons will be enthusiastic about the new operators, as well.”

The Kohlers have many new and exciting ideas, according to a library press release. TBC will bring in new tables and chairs, a comfortable seating area and splashes of color to give the area a fresh look.

Their new menu will include items such as panini sandwiches, salads, soups, pastries, bagels, muffins, and chicken tenders, fries and hot dogs.

And a great cup of coffee will be front and center. TBC has an automatic espresso machine which will be the first thing customers see as they approach the caf .

Customers booking the meeting rooms at Poland and Austintown libraries can contact Lori Stone, party planner for TBC, at (330) 402-4919.

Stone has been a community volunteer for the past 25 years and has served as a party planner at many occasions.
