Cheerleading squad wins top honors

CHEERFUL WINNERS: Jackson-Milton High School Cheerleading Squad, led by Coach Erika White, took home top honors when it attended the Cheer Time Athletics Champion of Champions Series this past competition season at Austintown, Sebring, Niles and Howland high schools. The squad won first place in all four competitions in their division and two grand championships for overall performance at both the Niles and Howland competitions. It also won best showmanship twice, best cheer and the spirit award. Participating were, from left front row, Nikia Boyk, Emma Sempek, Lacey Jeffries, Katelyn Whitney, Brooke Mede, and Nicole Padgitt, and in back, Chelsea Rodgers, Chloe Derrow, Brittany Williams, Stephanie Green and Alyssa Cork.
