HUBBARD
Feb. 28
Menacing: A man, no information given, was charged with violating a protection order after a Waugh Drive man reported someone had called his cell phone threatening to harm him.
Possible scam: A Hubbard man reported receiving a check and letter in the mail he thought were part of a scam.
Theft: A Youngstown-Hubbard Road man told officers someone stole and used his debit card, and was removing property from his apartment.
Truck theft: A West Liberty Street man reported the theft of his Ford truck.

Fraud: A Helen Drive man found out someone had placed fraudulent charges on his phone bill.

Assault: A township woman alleged her boyfriend struck her.
Theft: Two people were arrested after a shoplifting situation at Devine’s Shop ‘n’ Save, 529 N. Main St.
Assault: A man told police his son had been threatened and assaulted at Hubbard High School, 350 Hall Ave.

Criminal mischief: Someone used a key to damage a vehicle’s finish in the 1100 block of Doris Drive.
LIBERTY
Feb. 28
Arrests: Police investigated two suspicious people near a Belmont Avenue business before apprehending a Youngstown man, 30, who they said pointed a firearm at them, tried to grab an officer’s gun and led them on a foot chase. He faced charges of aggravated robbery, felonious assault, resisting arrest, carrying a concealed weapon and obstructing official business; a Youngstown woman, 40, was charged with tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, after being accused of trying to hide a gun.
Arrest: A 30-year-old Sharon, Pa., woman faced a criminal-trespassing charge when, police said, she started a confrontation during a darts tournament at a Motor Inn Drive motel, then refused to leave.
Auto theft: An Elmwood Avenue man’s vehicle was stolen at his home.
Stolen property: Authorities responded to an eviction proceeding at a Tuttle Lane residence and were told at least one lock box and its contents were missing.
Auto theft: A Warren man’s 1998 Jeep Wrangler was stolen in the 4600 block of Crew-Hood Drive.
Drugs: An 18-year-old Youngstown man was arrested on Church Hill-Hubbard Road on charges of drug abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a child after he and a juvenile were accused of leaving the property to smoke marijuana.
Weapon: During a traffic stop on state Route 193, a Youngstown man, 32, was charged with being a convicted felon with a firearm and improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle. A search turned up a loaded revolver, authorities said.
Burglary: Two bottles of medications were stolen after someone entered a West Montrose Street apartment via the front door.

Criminal damaging: Someone damaged a 4-inch glass block window at Abstract Stained Glass, 3100 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A man discovered his wallet missing while in the 3500 block of Belmont Avenue.
Drugs: A Struthers man, 29, was given a summons on a drug-possession charge after being stopped near Colonial Drive and handing to police a bag of suspected marijuana. He also was charged with driving under suspension and had eight license suspensions, a report showed.
Drugs: A traffic stop on state Route 193 led to a 20-year-old Girard man’s being charged with drug abuse when, authorities said, he had a bottle with a prescription that had been issued to a family member.
Drugs: A Youngstown man, 32, was charged with possession of marijuana after being pulled over near Belmont Avenue when, police said, two bags of suspected marijuana were found. The man also was wanted on two counts of domestic violence and one count each of assault and nonsupport of dependents.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s passenger-side window was broken in the 3500 block of Belmont Avenue.
Assault: A student at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way, told an officer another girl grabbed and attacked the accuser. The girl said the accuser had punched her in the face.
Drugs: A Boardman man, 19, and a Youngstown man, 20, were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, respectively, after being pulled over in the 2700 block of Belmont Avenue. A bag of suspected marijuana and a suspected marijuana pipe were found, a report said.

Theft: Two men stole 13 eyeglass frames from Belmont Eye Clinic, 3020 Belmont Ave.
GIRARD
March 1
Burglary: A man in the 400 block of East Kline Street discovered his front door had been kicked open and his belongings were tampered with. Nothing appeared to be missing, though.
Menacing: An East Howard Street woman and her boyfriend told authorities a 14-year-old boy threatened to have friends damage the accusers’ residence and vehicle.
March 3
Drugs: A Youngstown man, 19, was arrested near South Market Street on a felony charge of corrupting another person with drugs after police responded to a 17-year-old boy who was passed out. Later, the boy said they had smoked marijuana and alleged his stepbrother gave him marijuana laced with Vicodin.
Aggravated menacing: A Morris Drive woman told police a 23-year-old Girard man she befriended threatened her if she failed to give him money.
Theft: Store personnel detained a Girard man, 23, accused of stealing $35 worth of groceries from Santisi’s IGA Super Center, 419 N. State St.
March 4
Menacing: A man reported his father-in-law threatened him at a family member’s Plymouth Avenue home.
