Polish Easter traditions

YOUNGSTOWN — Swieconka, a Polish Easter tradition workshop and celebration, will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. March 22 at St. Casimir Church, 149 Jefferson St.

The free event will offer workshops and demonstrations on egg decorating, paper cutting and palm weaving. There will be a traditional Easter buffet and bar, and ethnic items will be available for purchase at a Polish marketplace and bakery.

Proceeds from the workshop will be used by the Krakowiaki Polish Folk Circle to purchase new costumes. For more information, call (330) 646-4082.
