Participants sought for arts festival

YOUNGSTOWN — Deadlines have been set for artists and performers to apply to participate in the 11th annual Summer Festival of the Arts, July 11 and 12 at Youngstown State University.

Artist applications for the juried fine-art show are now available, and artists are encouraged to apply by the April 3 early deadline.

Artists can submit entries in two-dimensional fine arts, three-dimensional fine arts and fine crafts.

Each application must be accompanied by the $20 jury fee. If accepted, the booth fee is $100.

More than 60 artists participated in the event last year, which also includes an ethnic festival and multiple family activities.

Individual music, dance and theater performers, as well as performing groups must apply by March 31.
