Four people identified in van accident in Canfield Township

CANFIELD — The three adults — two women and a man — who were seriously injured in an accident in the southbound lane of state Route 11 around 8 p.m. on Tuesday have been identified.

Yolanda Davis, 44, of Warren was driving her van on Route 11, about two miles north of U.S. Route 224, when she lost control of the vehicle. The van flipped over twice and ended on the center median, according to the Lisbon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Davis was ejected from the van and was flown to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

The front-seat passenger, Thomasine Davis, 43, and back-seat passenger, Curtis Thorton, both of Warren, were also ejected from the vehicle and transported to St. Elizabeth by ambulance.

A forth person riding in the van, Christopher Davis, 21, of Warren, was not seriously injured, according to the state patrol.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.

None of the passengers were wearing seat belts, according to the patrol report.

The conditions of Yolanda and Thomasine Davis and Curtis Thorton were not available this morning.
