Children suffer broken legs; mother indicted

WELLSVILLE — A Columbiana County grand jury has indicted Michelle D. Darrah, 24, of Clark Avenue, Wellsville, on four counts of child endangering after her two children suffered broken legs in what authorities said were “non-accidental injuries.”

Atty. Tim McNicol, an assistant county prosecutor, said Thursday that he children were treated at Akron Children’s Hospital.

A boy, age 4r, was injured in September 2008 and a girl, age 3, was injured in November 2008.

The children are no longer in the custody of their mother.
