Campbell to get $400,000 grant to repave Struthers-Liberty Road

CAMPBELL — City council passed a resolution that paved the way for resurfacing of Struthers-Liberty Road, perhaps as early as this year.

Mayor John Dill said the city was awarded a $400,000 federal grant for the project, for which the city’s usual 20 percent match will be paid by a grant through the state Issue 1 bond program.

The only cost to the city will be $8,000-$10,000 for engineering services, he said.

Dill said that although he is not certain, he hopes the project, which runs the entire length of Struthers-Liberty in the city, will be done this year.
