Bristol rallies to top Badger


WARREN — John Evans, Andrew Holko and Chris Collins had 19, 16 and 10 points, respectively, to lead the Bristol High boys basketball team, which defeated Badger 54-50 in a Division IV sectional game at Warren Harding High.

Bristol was helped by a 19-point third quarter.

Marcus Heath paced Badger with 19 points.

Russ Armstrong and Jeff Ashcroft added 10 apiece for the Braves, who led at halftime, 30-25.

Lordstown 61, Ledgemont 53

In the other Warren semifinal, Steven Cribley scored 23 points and William Wright added 14 for the Red Devils, which outscored Ledgemont 15-7 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the eight-point victory.

Shane Ritts scored 18 points for Ledgemont and Charlie Price added 10.

Lake Center Christian 79, Jackson-Milton 65

STRUTHERS — Jacob Carlile hit three 3-pointers and finished with 23 points but Jackson-Milton couldn’t overcome an 18-point first-half deficit in a Division IV sectional opener at Struthers Fieldhouse.

Carlile’s brother, Ben, added 19 points for the Bluejays (1-20), who were outscored 25-11 in the second quarter to fall behind 45-27 at halftime.

Brock Justine scored 21 points to lead three players in double figures for Lake Center (15-6).
