Auction to benefit Alzheimer patients

YOUNGSTOWN — The Alzheimer’s Assistance and Referral Network will host its fifth annual charity auction March 21 at the Fifth Season Banquet Center in Mineral Ridge. The theme for the evening will be “Valley Memories II”

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and a buffet dinner will be served at 7. Those attending will be able to participate in silent, Chinese and live auctions for a wide variety of quality donated items. Musical entertainment throughout the evening will be performed by Take II.

Tickets are available for $40 and can be reserved by calling the Alzheimer Network at (330) 788-9755.

Proceeds from the event will support services for local Alzheimer patients and their families, such as educational seminars, neighborhood meetings, informational literature, and workshops for professionals. A portion of the proceeds will support the research centers at both the University Hospital in Cleveland and the University of Pittsburgh.

Patricia Corsale and Sandra Pope, co-chairs for the fundraiser, are being assisted by a group of dedicated volunteers.
