Air Force general to visit Vienna base
VIENNA — Lt. Gen. Charles E. Stenner Jr., chief of the Air Force Reserve and commander of Air Force Reserve Command, is scheduled to visit the 910th Airlift Wing at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station Saturday.
While here, Stenner, principal advisor on reserve matters to the Air Force Chief of Staff, will attend a Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program event to honor 910th Security Forces Squadron personnel who recently returned from 180 days of duty at Kirkuk Air Base, Iraq. The event also offers support to 10 910th reservists preparing to deploy in the upcoming months.
The Yellow Ribbon Program is mandated by Congress to address the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of deployed members and their families throughout the entire cycle of deployment, from notification to six months after returning from deployment.
