Seminar scheduled on attracting wildlife
NILES — The Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry will team with Gander Mountain to help property owners attract deer, turkey, song birds and more to their woodlots.
Gander Mountain, 2390 Niles Cortland Road, will host a free, two-hour Division of Forestry seminar at 10 a.m. on March 28. Ohio foresters will explain which trees and shrubs attract and provide food for wildlife. They will also discuss ways to create cover and travel corridors for wildlife, and other woodland improvement practices.
