Bloomfield wins 70-56; advances to face JFK next

WARREN — Kevin Hostetler scored 19 points to lead Bloomfield High over Ashtabula Sts. John & Paul 70-56 in the Division IV sectional on Tuesday night.

Aaron Knight added 14 points for the Cardinals (7-14), who led 35-28 at halftime of the game at Harding High School.

Aaron Hennessey scored 12 points for Bloomfield, which advanced to play top-seeded Warren JFK in a sectional final on Friday. Jorsan Gunnow and Dustin Kovalak added 10 points apiece.

Eric Simon scored 18 points to lead Sts. John & Paul, while Jake Phelps added 16. Stephon Robison finished with 12 points for the Heralds, who trailed 47-38 entering the fourth period.
