YWCA ceremony to honor promising young women

YOUNGSTOWN — The YWCA of Youngstown will honor 26 area high school seniors at its 15th annual Young Women with Bright Futures Awards Ceremony on Saturday at the Holiday Inn, Boardman. The wrong date was announced in Sunday’s story.

Each year, the YWCA recognizes young women who have demonstrated a commitment to serving their schools, communities and families. Senior high school women are selected by their school teachers or administrators for excellence in scholarship and leadership. They must also be active in school or community activities and volunteerism.
