PARADE: In top photo, Michael Mastoris demonstrates his word, “bodacious.” At left, Anthony Lefore picked “gar” for his word and carried a model of the fish in a word parade Monday at Dobbins Elementary School in Poland. Both boys are fourth-graders. The parade was part of Read Across America Day, a program sponsored by the National Education Association that aims to motivate children to read.
