Warren man pleads guilty to charges in September incident

WARREN — A city man linked by police to the death of a 21-year-old Warren man Dec. 23 inside a Howland condominium complex has pleaded guilty to charges that he and another man fired a gun at a van in the southwest area of the city in September.

Michael Ahladis, 23, of Jefferson Street Southwest, pleaded guilty today in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court to a felony of carrying a concealed weapon and a misdemeanor of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer.

Judge Peter Kontos ordered the Trumbull County Adult Parole Authority to conduct a pre-sentence investigation on Ahladis before the judge sentences him in four to six weeks.

Ahladis could receive up to 18 months in prison on the carrying concealed weapons charge and up to six months on the failure-to-comply charge.
