WARREN — Fred Williams made two free throws with 1.5 seconds remaining to break a tie and give Warren Harding High a 74-72 win over Mentor in the final boys basketball regular season game on Saturday night.
Guard Fred Williams showed exactly how a negative can be turned into a positive in basketball.
Desmar Jackson led the Raiders (18-2) with 26 points and Williams added 14.
Jaron Crowe led Mentor (14-6) with 24 points. Cole Krizancic had 19 points and Scott Branchick finished with 12.
